Family Law Solicitors Amy Harris and Kaleel Anwar have featured on Sky News and BBC London today as well as in the Times, Mail Online and MSN amongst others, speaking about the firm’s new research into why Cohabitation Agreements are so invaluable for cohabiting couples.
The research, which surveyed 1,500 people, was commissioned by Slater & Gordon after the Family Law Team saw a spike in people asking about Cohabitation Agreements to protect their assets should a relationship break down.
The Agreements are becoming increasingly popular as more and more couples are living together, and want to protect their individual
assets and income upon separation.
Amy said “No one wants to go into a relationship worrying about it failing but people need to be realistic. Often young people today will be borrowing money from parents and grandparents to afford to get on the property ladder and they should be thinking about getting a cohabitation agreement in place to protect that money if the relationship does end.”
